Every now and then I feel compelled to check my Ephemeris for upcoming astrological trends. This is one of those times! At the end of October SATURN moves into a new sign. This momentous occasion signals a change in focus for our challenges over the next 2.5 years. For the past 2 years Saturn has been active in Virgo, bringing with it challenges for our health care system and opportunities for Alternative Health practitioners to buckle down and get serious about building a successful natural health practice. Saturn may also have brought health challenges to you, or made you aware of the need to develop better dietary and fitness regimes. SATURN was good news for fitness salons and nutritional counselors. Did you rise to the opportunities, or did you waste this energy?
SATURN now moves into Libra, sign of relationships and partnerships. Here it is especially powerful. Those who are thinking of collaborating in a business venture or getting married will find they are supported in mature, practical partnering endeavours. Karmic relationships are featured. This can also mean challenges that bring our feet back to the ground and make us develop responsibility, strength and more balance. You will desire to express your spiritual principles in more practical, tangible ways. You will become more aware of the need for honesty, fairness and balance in your interactions with others. SATURN can trigger lawsuits and legal difficulties or the end of partnerships that are not for your soul’s highest good. The next 2 years will be great for practical public relations endeavours. Use the energy wisely….share your burden by sharing expenses with other practitioners or develop ethical partnerships with complementary businesses or therapists. Promote your business by networking, developing referrals, and supporting charity or group events—anything that involves working with others fairly. Increase your education and training in practical ways, and expand your business beyond the borders of your own country or nationality SATURN squares PLUTO from the end of October until December. ‘Might makes right’ attitudes could cause business power struggles, increased bankruptcies or government intervention that affects us all. There may be corruption scandals. Taxes, estate settlements or joint finance could become a source of conflict or problems. Expect periodic fighting and making up or breaking up in your relationships. Used constructively, this aspect can bring an interest in the occult or reincarnation and increase ambition, willpower and determination to succeed.
Earnings, especially for Aquarians and those working with new technology or computers, will continue to come and go suddenly, in lump sums rather than in regular intervals. Lay-offs, sudden windfalls, unpredictable glitches are to be expected.
PLUTO entered Capricorn, the sign of business and public life at the beginning of 2009. It stays in this sign for about 16 years, creating change in the way we conduct business. PLUTO caused the collapse of the auto industry and many bankruptcies this year. Over the next few years in our careers and public lives, anything that is not in alignment with our higher purpose may collapse or end. Watch for public scandals and the death of many public figures. You can tell a lot about yourself by looking at the people in your life and examining the quality of your relationships. Generally relationships flow better when you are more aware or conscious of the underlying energy dynamics of your relationships...
Chakra Orientation and Relationships: Although we each have seven energy centers or chakras in the body and five outside of it, human beings tend to funnel their energy into one of them. This affects how we perceive the world and how we interact with others. Most people funnel their energy through the first chakra at the base of the spine. They filter life primarily through the physical senses. Others funnel their energy through the fourth or heart chakra. They experience life primarily through their emotions and feelings. Others funnel their energy through the fifth or throat chakra. They filter life primarily through their thoughts and ideas. A relatively small number of people funnel life through the sixth and seventh chakras - the inner/third eye and crown center. They perceive life with the awareness of unity with all that is or was or ever shall be.

I always know how I did spiritually throughout the year by how well my annual week at home for Thanksgiving or Christmas goes. It is my spiritual report card for the entire year of inner work and, alas, almost always I get insights as to what my clearing agenda for the new year will be. Choose your friends and sexual partners wisely: A human being can be viewed as an energy system or a field of energy. The people that you hang out with or work with are important, because you become attuned to or resonate with their energy fields. When these people experience anything that emotionally sets them off, their energy fields swell and they literally reach out to the human energy fields around them and suck them into their energy vortices. This may be OK when the person is happy, but not so good when they are angry or depressed. It is perhaps even more important to choose your sexual partners carefully. When you engage in sexual acts with another, you are trying to reach at-one-ment with that person. What happens is that your two (or more) energy fields merge together and your body will retain the energy of that other person for a month after the sexual act even if it is just a one night stand.
